S&F Employee Portrait (03 March 2025)
Something that is not present in my CV. At the end of 2022, my wife and I took a 2-year break to travel the world with our expedition vehicle.
How did you hear about S&F? In the course of my previous work as an investment controller, I was able to work together with S&F on the launch of a private debt fund and support the change of a custodian bank for another private debt fund. I was particularly impressed by S&F's individual know-how.
What interests you in the world of collective investment funds? Above all, I find the countless possibilities and investment areas that are available super exciting. I am therefore all the more pleased that S&F offers and covers all investment categories of collective investment schemes, including the new L-QIFs.
What makes Solutions & Funds different from your other employers? Very strong cohesion within the company, flat hierarchies and a great desire for positive change and continuous improvement.
What was the highlight of your travels, and what made it so memorable? Because we were traveling with our own expedition vehicle, we could experience the individual countries in a different way, as we also crossed areas that are not popular tourist destinations. I was also amazed by the beautiful nature that exists in our world.
Which experiences from your travels have had the most impact, and how do you apply them in your daily life? What weighs most heavily for me is the gratitude for what we have here in Switzerland. It reminds me every day to appreciate what we have and not to take everything for granted. I also believe that we should see the big picture in our daily interactions rather than getting lost in the little things.
What motivated you to end your travels and return to the corporate world? After a period of 2 years characterized by constant change, it was time for me to return to a less turbulent life. With S&F as my new employer, I have the opportunity to bring more balance back into my life and at the same time to counter or mitigate risks at operational and product level in the best possible way in my role as Risk Manager. The many unpredictable experiences during our journey encourage me to continue to think “out of the box” and to always be ready to think of new solutions.
